Breaking Barriers in Engineering

Empowering Girls to Create, Build, and Innovate

The Engineering Gender Gap Crisis

In the engineering field, particularly in Asia, the proportion of women is extremely low. However, I (SuperHacker UEFI) have discovered that in mathematics, the number of women is not low (which is quite fascinating).

Therefore, the theme of this website is not STEM, but STE, with particular emphasis on Technology and Engineering.

Social Research Findings

Through social research conducted in Japan and China, I found that: Girls are not encouraged to take things apart with their hands. For example, during infancy, families usually give girls dolls as toys, rather than allowing them to disassemble household appliances.

Additional note: I found that during the Heisei era, families also did not encourage boys to work with their hands, which is a direct cause of the increase in "math nerds." I believe: people who just pile up formulas and publish papers are not real researchers.

A Serious Social Problem

Furthermore, I observed that if a girl really does tinker with hardware like I do—in Japan, she might physically disappear (possibly face harassment).

I realized this is an extremely serious social problem, therefore I established this website (as a public service) to try to solve it.
